Old Blog Throwback #6

Having no social media account? No problem!

As you can see from the topic above, I want to share my thought about having no social media accounts such as Instagram, Facebook and so on. I don't consider it as a problem at all. It's even better not to have any of them. This is from my own humble experiences. I don't have any social media accounts, not even once in my life, so far. It is because, I was taught by my parents not to socialize since I was young. Even going to friends' houses. It's totally prohibited. Not even once have I gone to their places and had fun with them. My life was and is all about my family, my house and my school.

At first, I was like, ''What's in the world my parents trying to do?'', and I was a little bit rebellious back then. It's because I didn't know their motives and intentions. But, now that I'm growing older and have become an adult and matured, I finally could understand their intentions of bringing me up like that. Having no social media account and few friends makes me feel comfortable and I don't really have a stressful life, unlike my friends who have social media accounts. This is from my observation. They are more like, overthink in everything they do because they are influenced by the social media. I'm really thankful to my parents for nurturing and teaching me this way of life. But, every parent has their own style in bringing up their children. It's undeniable. People also have their own way in living their lives.

Social media has its pros and cons. It could be beneficial for some reasons and also could be harmful. But, these days I could see that there are so many negative side and impact of social media instead of its positiveness. The message that I want to deliver is that, we have to enjoy our lives and live comfortably. Be yourself. Don't get too influenced by the social media and don't expose yourself too much on social media because it can harm you one day. It could be useful if you use it with good intentions. Bear in mind okay! Thank you!
